Utilizes broad spectrum light sources with specific filters and desired wavelengths to perform various skin treatments. This technology is popularly used to lessen photodamage, such as brown spots on the face and chest, but can also be used to improve a variety of skin conditions:
Individual results may vary depending on each patient.
The following information does not take precedence over formal pre-post instructions given by your healthcare provider.
Before the procedure begins, the medical provider will place special goggles or eye-pads over your eyes to protect them. A cool gel is placed on the skin being treated
and you will feel the smooth glass surface of the handpiece when it is applied. During
treatment, you will see bright pulses of light flash. You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band.
At the end of the treatment, the provider removes the gel and if desired, you may be given a cold pack to apply for comfort as your skin may feel warm and appear red and slightly swollen.
Your treatment results will appear over the course of the next 1-2 weeks. For brown spots and hyperpigmentation, the spots will begin to darken over the next few days and sometimes give a coffee-ground appearance, before flaking off and fading. For veins and vascular-type lesions, they may fade instantly with treatment, or may look slightly stronger in color before fading.
Remember, it takes an average of 3-5 treatments to achieve full, desired results.
