Collagen Induction Therapy

This service is also known as collagen induction therapy, in which microneedles passed over the skin create tiny channels and controlled microinjuries. These microinjuries trigger the body’s natural healing process to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and to bring back the glow of fresh, younger-looking skin. Microneedling benefits include:

  • Improvement in fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reduction in acne outbreaks
  • Fading and softening of scars and stretch marks
  • Improvement in skin tone
  • Firming and smoothing of skin texture
  • Lightening of hyperpigmentation and sun spots
  • Reduction in the appearance of pores

Frequently Asked Questions

The following information does not take precedence over formal pre-post instructions given by your healthcare provider.

Is microneedling safe and is there downtime after treatment?
The procedure is minimally invasive, which means that there is little downtime and the healing process is quick. Aftercare is also very simple and can be fully administered at home. You may experience facial redness like a moderate to severe sunburn for 12-48 hours after the treatment. Sun protection is very important during the healing process, as with any facial treatments.
How quickly are results visible?
Rejuvenated skin can generally be seen a few days following treatment, with continued results over time as the new collagen and elastin continue to be produced for weeks and months to come. A course of at least 3 or more micro-needling sessions, space 4-6 weeks apart, is usually recommended to achieve optimal results.
